Dear Emma, a nerdy remark. Yet, I am curious. I am just wondering whether it was a slip of the tongue or just another and alternative term? 'Transitive", which means requiring an object after the verb VS 'transient", which means temporary or not stable. I assume it's just Transitive, isn't it? If I am wrong though, please bring me up to speed. Thanks a bunch! Regards from Ukraine

  4. With reference to one of the examples – 'look up to' being a transitive verb, when I use in the sentence – "Your Dad is someone that I look up to." – isn't this an intransitive phrasal verb?
